For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. General Comments: On arrival, two Ospreys were visible. One on perch and one sitting low in nest which is why I indicated incubating eggs as activity. I hope that is correct. During the half hour of observation, one Osprey was on high perch at all times seeming to watch me. On three occasions, one Osprey flew off only to the other side of the marsh (about 1/4 mile) and came back after only two minutes or so, flying low to the nest.

Other Activity: Female was incubating facing one way. She got up at one point and leaned down into the nest and moved her head a bit. Then she turned around and got back into her incubating position facing the other way.

Other Activity: Adult perched edge of the nest. The nest appears to have a bright green rope (I think) near the edge, some new plastic pieces and a few new stickes
