For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: An immature bald eagle is perched on the nest platform this morning. Haven't seen any ospreys since my last report. Great blue herons have also been perching on the nest platform.

General Comments: One osprey was perched on the pole in the playground just in front of our house singing & chirping for the whole half hour. Another was in their favorite tree across the river answering him. The 3rd was on the nest.
