For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Weather Conditions: 80F, SE 10 mph, sunny

Other Activity: Female and 3 young on the nest, male eating on nearby pilling. Female fed the smallest of the young, another had its own fish and was eating. When male finished he flew to the nest and the smallest left immediately. It seemed unsure and couldn't return to the nest. It rested atop the mast of a nearby boat, later it flew to the piling the male had fed on. The female flew to a piling near to it.

Other Activity: nest platform empty at first. One osprey perched on the stick in marsh and then flew up to the nest platform. 2 Osprey on nest #2. One osprey flew down to the riverbank into the water and just waded there for a little while. 3 fledgings flew to to nest platform..and perched there together. One osprey flew up and looked like it was chasing another osprey high over my head.
