For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Weather Conditions: 83 ℉ Some sun but mostly clouds (Mare's Tails variety)
Other Activity: Only one (adult?) bird perched on tree, then flew to nest; along came another (adult?) who dropped a large fish into nest, stayed less than 5 minutes & flew away; bird on nest tried to eat fish inside nest but could not, so dropped down to lower branch with fish in claws & ate for several minutes.

Other Activity: 2 osprey perched on pier pilings and 2 inside nest, and 1 perched on stick in marsh. The one on the pier flew up to nest. The one on the stick flew over to the new nest on high tension line & harassed the ospreys there. Soon 2 opreys were chasing each otherflying over the Saugus River and then over my head and over the GE plant. Then I saw them fly back over the river. One went back over to the nest and the other went back to the stick in the marsh
