For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Weather Conditions: 55 degrees, all cloud cover, in between rain showers, water water everywhere throughout the area, high tide, the creeks overflowing their banks

Other Activity: 1 Osprey on the nest incubating, and 1 Osprey perched on the marsh perch. Each did a fly about, round the nest, and back to the nest and the perch. There were various flyers, including 2 other Ospreys way off to the right of the nest area. At 12:55 PM the Osprey flew from the marsh perch. So far, so good.

Observation Method: on foot, on the slope, then down on the edge of the marsh
