For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Three young nestled, adult arrived soon after. One of the young rose to poop and stayed perched. The young one opened its wings and flapped weakly and remained perched.

Other Activity: Nest initially empty. Later, 1 adult & 2 fledglings arrived. Soon after, the adult and 1 fledgling left. The remaining fledgling ate and stayed perched.

General Comments: I just returned from a week away and found that two of the fledglings had learned to fly and were away from the nest. One fledgling was on the nest and spreading its wings, but may not yet have flown. Later in the day I saw four ospreys on the nest, one adult and three fledglings.
