For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Weather Conditions: Over the course of 3 hours the temperature rose from 68 degrees to 75, and sunny to partly cloudy, very little wind to a light SSE wind
Other Activity: Initially 1 was incubating and 1 perched at the edge of the nest. Then the 1 incubating stood and both appeared to be peering down. 1 then flew off and returned with something. The 1 that had been incubating was standing a bit and remained in this position when we left with the second still on the nest.

Other Activity: On the paddle over towards the nest, we could see an osprey perched on the post near the nest. As we got closer, the osprey was perched on the nest. It then flew off and we could not see an osprey in the nest.
