Off to the right of the nest, 2 Ospreys remained perched on 2 of the 3 fence posts. Then more soaring Ospreys. A neighborhood boater came in and said they saw "2 in the nest" and pointed to the Great Bank Nest. A wonderful Osprey afternoon!

Number of Nestlings Visible:

Weather Conditions: sunny - 70's
Other Activity:
Observation Method: From our house
General Comments: We watch the osprey all day every day and it seems that there are only 3 in the area now, probably the fledglings but it is hard to be sure. The last time we saw 4 was several days ago. They are perched all around, eating and chirping up a storm all day. This morning I saw 2 flying in circles at a really great height in a little way downstream from our nest.

Other Activity: No birds visible on nest at “MAR-02 Great Aquivitae Daymarker, Marblehead“ at start of observation period. What looked to be an adult flew by a few times (at one point chasing out a herring gull that had landed on nest), landing on little Aquivitae day maker and perching there for a bit. A smaller bird (but what also looked to be an adult?) later brought a stick and added it to the nest. At some point, an osprey landed on a far-off day mark, but too far to tell age, and don’t know it is was the same bird or different.
