For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: One osprey was on the nest and the other swooped down to the marsh and brought back straw for the nest. Happy to say that the nest has been rebuilt after it blew apart two weeks ago.

Other Activity: one bird perched on top rung above nest, but it was not standing on the rung. Odd. The bird appeared to be sitting as if it were nesting. I've never seen that before on the top rung. Hard to tell if it was an osprey. Photo was too blurry.

Other Activity: one adult on rocks next to nest feeding on flounder, second adult active around nest bathing and perched on nest. The two adults became agitated when a drone was flown into the area. Third adult tried to move in on the nest actually brought material from the beach to the nest.
