For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Weather Conditions: Sunny and beautiful!!!!!!!

Other Activity: 2 Adult Ospreys perched on the nest/perch. Both flew as we were nearing the nest, soaring over and around their nest area. We also observed a 3rd adult Osprey soaring, over to the right. Two of us accompanied Dave Rimmer for this incredible event -banding the ESS-06 Osprey chick, who is approximately 5 weeks old! Absolutely amazing! I am thankful and grateful for this Osprey experience!

Other Activity: These 2 were simply perched and stretching on the nest. They could have been taking a break from the Danvers chicks.

General Comments: One adult flew off and was with another osprey. Perhaps the fourth chick has fledged? I couldn't confirm.

Other Activity: Two adults perched on nest. Both took off as we approached. One circled the nest and the other circled the boat. No nestlings visible to us. Heavy concentration of greenheads!
