For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Female feeding chicks and self. Male stopped by very briefly and then left. One of the chicks did some wing flapping but not very much.

Other Activity: One adult on nearby perch and one bird on side of nest that looked like an adult. Could not see any nestlings today but they may have been down in nest.

Other Activity: Adult osprey took off to watch over me as I fished. The 2 nestlings were very large and vocal and they were flapping their wings as I approached but weren't able to take flight. They are very close to fledging.
