For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Other Activity: one adult sitting on side of nest. Can see one chick lying inside nest. Adult flew off and flying above nest and staying nearby, then came back to nest. Other adult is perched on the wood stake in the marsh near the nest platform

Other Activity: Two fledglings near the edge of the nest. The two adults nearby in separate trees

General Comments: In the past when I was observing this site I questioned if I saw 2 chicks now I know that I did. Clearly the fledglings were on the rim of the nest opening and closing their wings.

Other Activity: Two adults lifted off the nest when we entered the creek but stayed very close. A nestling poked it's head up and then climbed to the edge of the nest. It was quite large. Very similar in size to River at Lobsterland. Both adult osprey kept landing on the nest and then taking off again until we left the area.

Weather Conditions: 65ºF; partly sunny/cloudy; light breeze (Felt more like 80℉!); was 78℉ when left (Felt more like 90℉ upon departure)
Other Activity: 1 adult & 3 babies on nest; looked as if they were feeding, bobbing up & down; adult flew away; babies on nest rim, taking turns flapping wings & raising themselves several inches above nest before falling in again; babies alone for many minutes; still alone when I left

General Comments: It was really hot...won't try to observe at noon again. I brought a friend with me who saw a large bird on a lower branch of nearby tree. I could not spot it but was probably one of the adults.
