For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: I heard chirping and when I looked out Ollie & Olivia were perched on the nest and flying around the nest and a visitor was circling around. Lots of loud chirping going on for a few minutes.

Other Activity: The pair spent most of the day here. Activities included housekeeping ( they even brought a deflated balloon and put it in the nest), eating, and perching.

General Comments: There were two osprey on the nest & we are pretty sure one was a chick. The chick was feeding him (or her) self.

Other Activity: The osprey comes and goes o The osprey has been coming and going for the past two days. Each visit lasts about one hour.

Other Activity: Nest empty on arrival, 1 fledgling did slow pass over then left. Male adult arrived with nesting material. Female adult arrived and removed some nesting material. Both remained perched afterward. Apparently all three of the young have fledged.
