For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: osprey got fish and was chased by gulls. It went to nest with other osprey in it. Then it flew over to the other inactive nest platform to finish eating the fish

Other Activity: Female incubating, male on distant piling feeding on large fish. Afterward, he flew to nest and gave fish to female who had already risen. She flew to near piling to eat and male took over incubating.

Other Activity: one bird down in nest, other on post perch feeding self; a second-year Bald Eagle was down in the grasses north of that - when it took off, the bird on the perch did as well, then came back, I didn't see any interaction
