For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: One Osprey deep in the nest bowel incubating eggs, lots of chirping, did not see the other adult. Both were seen together on the nest on 4/30, one adult incubating. RTH, turkey vultures, both kinds of egrets, gulls, cormorants, among the flyers.

Other Activity: Adult Osprey deep in nest bowl incubating eggs, other adult was not seen at this time. Neighbor reports seeing 3 adult Ospreys earlier today, 2 on the nest. Neighbor also reports seeing a bald eagle in the area.
Observation Method: on foot from Island Rd, down the marsh all the way to the creek
General Comments: Neighbor say there is a GHO that flies over the marsh in the early evenings. It perches in a maple tree beforehand.
