For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Weather Conditions: Beautiful day, and the warmest of the year so far (70sF). Sunny, little wind, no heat shimmer.
Other Activity: I arrived to see the presumed female sitting on the nest. Immediately after, the male flew in and perched on the stick protruding from the platform. No further activity observed.
Observation Method: On foot by scope standing next to my car, parked at the gate. I didn't have time to drive down to the boat ramp but didn't need to given the great viewing conditions.
General Comments: None, except I hope this pair finally succeeds this year!

General Comments: Male flew off of a stump near the nest but the female stayed in the nest cup and didn't leave which leads me to believe that she is incubating some eggs
