For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Bird 1 was sitting on nest when I arrived. Bird 2 was perched nearby. Bird 2 left the area shortly thereafter.

General Comments: Upon arrival observed one osprey in the nest. This osprey was moving around and for a short period of time perched itself on the edge of the nest. No other activity was observed.

Other Activity: one bird perched at nest, other bird flew out and brought back sticks twice while I was watching

General Comments: I hope I have the right name/# for this site: it is a small square platform on four legs, which looks like the photo for NBT-05; but from where I stand it seems to be EAST of NBT-03, whereas on the map that one looks west of NBT-03

General Comments: I was given a citation by a Newbury officer for parking by the side of the road - parking has been prohibited on all of Plum Island except for residents (even if you are going to be there only 15 minutes, doing research)
