Henry Siedzik, a 15-year-old Hamilton resident and Beverly High School sophomore, recently completed a community service project at Dodge Farm as he strives to earn the rank of Eagle Scout — the highest honor in Scouting America.
A Scout since the age of six, Henry collaborated with Adam Mariano, a member of Greenbelt’s Stewardship team, to design and construct four teak benches, an accessible picnic table, and a compost bin — all aimed at making the Wenham property more welcoming to visitors. Henry also raised more than $2,000 to cover the cost of materials for the project.
“I’ve always loved the outdoors and visiting Greenbelt properties, so it felt like the right organization to support,” says Henry. He adds that the project was also a valuable learning experience that helped him develop new leadership skills.
