For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: 2 osprey seen One on nest - unable to see eggs from viewpoint She left nest for a minimal amount of time when a bald eagle came nearby but returned to nest Second osprey came and perched while observing and stayed on perch until we left
Observation Method: Boat - low tide made viewing nest more difficult
General Comments: Bald eagle came nearby to feed, swooped down and took off with what looked like an eel?
