Nest Name:
ESS-04 - Round Island Platform

Adult Osprey Activity Observed:
Osprey Perched

Location, Date & Time of Observation:
2020-06-02
01 PM to 01:35 PM
at: Essex

Number of Adults Visible: 2

Number of Nestlings Visible: 0

Number of Fledglings Visible: 0

Weather Conditions: sunny, a little wind

Other Activity: Nest empty at first, but presumed female soon landed on platform. However, she just stood there doing nothing the whole time I was there. She was joined by the presumed male, who landed on the perching stick and also remained motionless. So I have no idea whether they have either eggs or young until I see either incubating or feeding behavior.

Observation Method: on foot from boat dock

General Comments: It was much easier to see the nest from the boat dock than from the gate, so I will continue to drive down there since I have a key to the gate.
