For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Female, Millie was in her nest. She got up and stretched her wings and readjusted herself a bit. The male was near the nest up on a small perch above the marsh grass. He appeared to be alert and on the lookout.

Other Activity: Male is perched on the perching post on the nest platform and female is repeatedly taking small bits of fish and feeding a chick deep in the nest, The chick is not visible because the nest is so deep, After feeding the chick the female at the rest of the fish and the male ate a fish on the perching post.

General Comments: 2020-06-04The male has been bringing lots of new nesting material and the nest is getting bigger. An intruding female osprey is visiting regularly and being chased away by the resident male.
