For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Other Activity: Female and male perched on side of nest. Female was bending down into the nest fairly often to start. The male took off after awhile and two other adult osprey showed up and circled overhead. The female called and the male returned and circled with the other two who eventually took off and the male returned to the nest. I did not see him bring any food in but think they had food when I arrived and were possibly feeding the chicks but it is hard to see.

Other Activity: The 2nd osprey was perched on a nearby post eating a fish. The incubating osprey was quite active within the nest. Seemed to be distracted by something. Possibly a nestling??

Weather Conditions: 61, 9 MPH breeze, 57% humidity, clear blue sky
Other Activity: Female was incubating for the first 20 mins I was there; then the male arrived with a large fish, which they both proceeded to gorge on. Great teamwork: the fish was still alive and struggling to escape, but the male OSPR clutched it firmly until it expired. They were still eating when I left. I saw no signs of eggs or chicks.
