Other Activity: One was carefully tending the nest and the other was perched nearby. I was more than 30 or 40 metres away and she (I suspect the female) flew off the nest and circled over my head for a couple of minutes, the male joined her, then she returned immediately to the nest, he to the perch. I suspect there were nestlings. Not sure how old, but I didn't see any heads peeking over the nest when I cropped my photos.

Observation Method: I was on foot.

General Comments: If you'd like photos, I'd be happy to share.

They were head to head and spread out their wings to totally cover the chicks. Positioning themselves head to head gave them a 360 degree view. The Osprey left and Jack then did 3 laps around the marsh to ensure the intruder was gone. Plenty of fish being brought in to the nest.
