For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: 3 nestlings sitting up in nest sometimes vocalizing loudly. appearing to be very hungry. One adult perched on stick in the marsh

Other Activity: Oldest fledgling left soon after we arrived and didn't return. Next oldest did some hops and on the last one, shot out from the nest and beelined toward the far shore. The adult soon left in the same direction and the new fledgling eventually returned making an awkward landing.

One adult on nest platform perch, looking over and into nest. Other adult perhed on stick in March near the nest platform. One nestling is is hopping up in the air over the nest with wings spread out and fla;ppig/

Other Activity: male on perch below nest. Female in nest with two visible fledglings. The female flew off and the two remaining osprey flapped their wings and hopped around a bit.

General Comments: I saw that someone with a spotting scope previously submitted seeing three chicks. I only have binoculars but have never seen the third.
