For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Adult makes a food drop in the next. The fledging in the nest had been squawking continuously. It moved it's wings do much that the adult couldn't land. After the adult flew away the fledging had one half of a consumed fish in it's claw and began to eat.

Other Activity: 1 osprey innest, 1 feeding on the other nest platform#2A, and 1 perched on the old pier. Osprey at #2A platform flew over to the #1A platform to be with the other osprey

General Comments: What a wonderful year it is/was indeed! Such a very successful nest. This is the first time in my 4+ ((?) years of watching a nesting platform via computer that I have seen every egg hatch and each "little one" reach the stage of migrating. Thanks so much for all of your efforts to keep us informed and education. Looking forward to next year.
