For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: osprey at first perched on nest platform then flew to edge of river and immersed itself almost up to its shoulder. It then splashed around for around 10 minutes and then flew back to the nest platform. Another osprey was perched on the old pier remnants the whole time

General Comments: Both of our fledglings are still here. One was on the dish where their nest once was until the pole fell over last month. The other was in a nearby tree. I was able to determine that we have a male & a female. We see them every day feeding and chirping often in the tree just outside our window. We will miss them when they head south.

Other Activity: Both Millie and Parker were there today. One osprey was feeding him/her self on the nest. The other was perched nearby on the marsh below.

Other Activity: Squam, the adult male, and Liz, the fledgling both flew in to the nest, with Squam providing a fish for Liz. This happened approximately 10:20 am.

General Comments: Notes on the ecga.org page had said that Squam had not been sighted on the nest for a week. However, both the adult and fledgling were in the nest together at this time.

Other Activity: The fledging has a half eaten fish but squawks constantly rather than eating.
