For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Other Activity: One osprey was perched in the nest and one on the post. No chicks were visible. The osprey on the nest started calling before I got anywhere near it, so I continued on to Great Bank and decided to check it later.

Other Activity: One osprey was perched in the nest, softly calling and one on the post. I did not see any chicks in the nest, and did not observe any behavior that looked like the osprey in the nest was interacting with chicks.

Weather Conditions: Warm. Windy. Partly cloudy.
Other Activity: Observed one bird obviously incubating, but she was restless. The other bird was working on nest-buildind and had a big stick he was working into the rim of the nest. They both sat close together for a little while, looking into the nest (there must be chicks in there), then they switched incubating duties and she flew off.
Observation Method: On foot from the beach at independence park.
