For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Two Osprey, female settled into nest and male on marsh perch. TWO babies visible, moving around.Female telling male to bring some nestling material and he did twice. He then flew off again.

Other Activity: There are two Osprey on the nest, one flew in with a fish. I know there are nestlings there but hard to see and photograph.

General Comments: These young birds are so big! I observed one flapping and stretching it’s wings, which appeared fully feathered. Ready to fledge.

Other Activity: Two adults on the nest, feeding the nestlings. Doing really well and getting big! Will send photos.

Other Activity: Adult on the nest could be heard vocalizing from quite a distance. The second adult was perched on driftwood in the marsh, and then moved onto a post as I approached. The nestling was crouched down in front of the adult on the nest.
