For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Male and female perched together on platform 1 that they have chosen as the nest site again. They were absent during most of the storm yesterday, except that the male perched for a while on the lower canoe rack that is somewhat out of the wind.

Other Activity: Female (I think) was perched on the nest, and calling on and off for the male. She was looking up in the sky and off into the distance in each direction until at last he came back.
