Number of Adults Visible: 2

Weather Conditions: 55 degrees, partly cloudy, SE 10

Other Activity: Female perched on nest and I heard the male peeping regularly while flying in tight circles above the nest to gain altitude. He climbed high and I knew something was going on, but it was not clear what until a bald eagle flew in from the east headed past the nest. The male osprey dived on the eagle and the eagle turned upside down to protect itself with its feet and talons. The male osprey rapidly gained altitude again and dived on the eagle again. This time the eagle did a full barrel roll as the osprey dove on it. The osprey regained altitude and followed the eagle for a while and then returned to platform 2. Later in the day a pair of ospreys approached the nest and the male chased the intruding female away while the intruding male circled and then flew away.
