For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Weather Conditions: Mostly sunny 75 very light wind.
Other Activity: Both adults in the nest feeding chick(s.) Can confirm one and 90 percent sure of a second. Slight chance a third was being fed. The most visible one appeared to be about 20 days old. Parks department and fencing contractor were there replacing field fencing including right at the base of the pole. The parents were not happy with female loudly alerting and male circling the immediate area. I told them about the chicks so they’d know what was going on.

Other Activity: One bird was perched on the nest, and I saw some movement in the nest but couldn't tell how many nestlings were in there. She moved to sit in the nest, but was also moving sticks around and tidying up. The other one was off, perched on a nearby mast.
