For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

General Comments: 2 adult Osprey on platform. new nest materials visible and being arranged.

General Comments: single Osprey perched, probably the surviving male after the female killed by eagles. Reports of a second adult Osprey at this nest but I did not see it today.

General Comments: So the nest failed on the 7th, the birds seemingly buried their own eggs by mistake. The pair continues to copulate so perhaps they are going to give it another go. Still fighting with the MBTA pair.

General Comments: Looks like this pairs nest has failed again this year, they have not been in the nest much at all, just keep fighting with the marsh pair and checking out their nest, even landing in it. Something is going on over here, if my memory serves me right this is the 3rd year of not being successful.

Other Activity: So windy it was hard to see. Don't think any osprey on nest. Nest building may have been going on, but also whitish stuff on nest. Feathers?? I hope not. Or something they found to use in the nest? Do they do that?
