Weather Conditions: 68 degrees, high tide, sunny, some clouds, breezy, buggy,
Other Activity: 10:25 AM - from the path to the marsh, there was one Osprey perched on the right side, bottom support of the nest. I did not see any Osprey in the nest, the nest look disheveled. I felt it was sad news for the nest. I went back up the trail, to the hill and down the other side to the marsh edge, David was there with his scope. Now the O at the bottom of the nest, perched on the middle support wood on the platform. We compared findings, thought maybe we saw an O in the nest, but concluded we were looking at space/sky between sticks. (2 young women from US Fish & Wildlife Service were there as well, ripping out pepper weed) David said he'd check on Sawyers again this weekend, & went on to the check another nest. I went back around to the marsh from the regular trail. At 11:10, I could clearly see 2 Ospreys sitting near each other, directly on the marsh. This was across the creek, way over to the left of the nest area. The one Osprey stayed at the bottom of the nest on the wood supports the whole time, so I did not walk to the nest to investigate the apparent loss of the nest.
