For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Other Activity: upon arrival I heard an osprey that was overhead and flew over the Saugus River towards nest #1. One osprey was in the nest. Over the nest and the marsh very high up I could just barely make out 2 osprey circling. About 10 minutes later one osprey flew down to the banks of the river and waded in it.covering his legs. Then he took a bird bath.

Other Activity: Female perched on the platform and male perched on the lower perch in the marsh. This is the third straight day that I have observed two ospreys at the Town Creek perch. They are definitely at home there. Yesterday the male was eating a small striper on the perch.

General Comments: There is not much nesting material on the platform. Looks like young ospeys housekeeping.

Other Activity: Male flew to the nest with nesting material, female stood up and both looked down and closely examined the eggs she had been sitting on. The female flew off the nest platform and the male sat down on the eggs to continue incubation.

Other Activity: I was driving north towards the bridge and observed an osprey with a fresh catch over the river, and with an eagle in hot pursuit. It was a short sighting, as I was in a moving car, but given the recent attack I wanted to report it. Fingers crossed the osprey is okay.

General Comments: The female was on the nest whole we observed. We did see another Osprey, probably the male flying overhead and passed us.
