Nest Name:
HAV-01 - Trinity Stadium Light Tower
Adult Osprey Activity Observed:
Osprey Actively Building Nest
Location, Date & Time of Observation:
2026-06-23
08:45 AM to 09:30 AM
at: Haverhill
Number of Adults Visible: 2
Number of Nestlings Visible:
Number of Fledglings Visible:
Weather Conditions: 63 degrees, 5 mph winds, cloudy and drizzling
Other Activity: When I arrived, the male was visible on the pole to the right of the nest, while the female was visible in the nest, I couldn’t see any babies from where I was. Eventually, the female flew out if the nest and returned a few minutes later with some branches for the nest. She did this four times, but when she returned for the fourth time, she flew off in a different direction and the male Osprey immediately followed. At first i thought it was a third Osprey they went after in the distance, but once they were next to each in the air I could tell it was definitely an eagle (too far to see colors but I’m assuming juvenile). One Osprey flew right up to the eagle and looked like it have even made contact with it in the air. One Osprey flew back to the nest where it settled down (presumably with the babies)
Observation Method: In the car from cvs parking lot

GLO-10 - Walker Creek Platform
Adult Osprey Activity Observed:
Osprey Perched
Location, Date & Time of Observation:

09:45 PM to 10:30 AM
at: Gloucester
Number of Adults Visible: 2
Number of Nestlings Visible:
Number of Fledglings Visible:
Weather Conditions: Rainy, rained all night. 63f, wind 6mph. Rain supposedly on/off all day.
Other Activity: Small craft fishing: several. The eagle was flying low here again yesterday, but it stays more on shoreline and yards.
Observation Method: Home
General Comments: So cute! Both on perch above nest and grooming each other for quite some time. Since it is cool and a bit rainy on/off, perhaps there are hatched eggs. Last year, it was difficult to know if there was a hatch until they were big enough to see bobbing heads. This year, she built up the nest to twice the height. She’s back in nest. She now seems on high alert.
