For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Two osprey in nest when I arrived. The male took flight and circled around me before heading off to fend off another osprey that was circling nearby.

Other Activity: Lots of trading off of duties today. Bob has taken a few turns sitting on the nest while Pauline exercises her wings. Bob does a good job bringing in fish for her. Sometimes he stands in the nest with her while she eats.
