For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: no birds to be seen around platform; HOWEVER, there was one adult Osprey on a post perch which probably belongs to NEW-07 Graf Salt Marsh Platform #2, and there was nesting material on that platform - Graf #1 pair got preyed on and trying to start again?

Other Activity: Both adults were perched on the upper perch at the nest. No nestlings were visible, and there was no interaction with anything in the nest observed.

Other Activity: Adult was initially on the nest with the fish. It then flew down onto a rock and appeared to be eating the fish. It then flew off with it.

Weather Conditions: 72 F, NW 4, 1% cloud cover
Other Activity: 2 adult osprey came by the nest and swooped toward it. The adult in the nest gave an alarm like call towards them and opened wings. They circled one more time and left. There was another adult osprey perched in a tree on Choate Island that called out several times, but did not leave and pursue. The mostly under the wing of the adult on the nest, but did move out a little.
