For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Both osprey perched on nest and both took flight when I approached. They did return as I pulled away.

Weather Conditions: 67 degrees, NNW 10 MPH, mostly cloudy, choppy on the water

Other Activity: The adult was perched in the nest. No chicks were visible, but the adult stayed put facing the nest bowl.

Other Activity: One osprey perched on side of nest looking into nest. The osprey got vocal as I approached but did not leave the nest.

Other Activity: 2 nestlings were clearly visible in the nest with an adult next to them. As we passed by the marsh, the one on the nest began calling and a second osprey flew over from Dean Island area and circled around.

Other Activity: Observed one bird sitting on the nest. 1 or 2 nestlings visible. Other bird came back to the nest with a fish and fed the chicks. Then the 1st bird flew off and came back a few mins later with a stick for nesting material.

Other Activity: Clearly female was feeding nestling. Possible one other nestling had hatched.

Observation Method: Drove over to Gibson Point on River side of Revere Beach with scope.

General Comments: The wind was so extreme in this area the I had to use the lee of the apartment structure to stabilize scope.
