For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Female was perched, young were up and down. Male arrived twice and left. One of the times he picked at something and nibbled and fed some to one of the young but they all settled down soon after and he left.

Other Activity: OSPR1 perched on nest when OSPR2 arrived with a new branch. For the next few minutes they both tugged and pulled the branch and moved it around the nest. As they did this, another branch fell off the nest. Occasionally, two chicks stirred in the nest. After 5 mins or so, both adults took a break seemed to agree on the current position of the new branch and perched on opposite sides of the nest until I left. Evidently, they decided that their work was done for the day.
