For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: I was so pleased to find 2 osprey on the nest on the 23rd. however yesterday (the 24th) there was one adult there in the morning, none in the afternoon. This morning no one. There was an osprey on the far nest by Two Penny Rd. I haven't gone down there. So another disappointment

Other Activity: Sadly, I have only seen one chick over the last 3 days. I have not been aware of any predators in the area nor have I heard any owl noises in the night. The remaining chick continues his robust growth spurt. He uses his wings as crutches to move around the nest. He is frequently flapping his wings.

General Comments: Observed nest for 1 hr and 30 min Observed one adult and one nestling. Waited to see if second Osprey would arrive, but it was apparently out fishing. I
