at: Gloucester
Number of Adults Visible: 2
Number of Nestlings Visible: 2
Number of Fledglings Visible:
Weather Conditions: cloudy, breeze
Other Activity: When I first started watching, the male was on the "staging" post with his wings wide open; female on nest feeding chicks. Very soon another osprey flew over the male on his post and landed on the opposite side of water, but only stayed a few seconds before flying off. I didn't see what kind of fish the male had provided, but the female seemed to be having some difficulty tearing it apart. She continued to feed chicks, but kept looking off toward her right as if distracted. Around 4:34pm I noticed that the male was eating something on his perch and it appeared to be difficult to tear his food apart. He had not left the perch the entire time I watched.
