For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Had borrowed scope. Both adults on nest, then 1 flew off and came back with nesting material in beak which remaining adult arranged. THREE nestlings popped heads up and moved around at once, few times!

General Comments: Previously we could only see two nestlings, and then we were away for a week. Upon return, it is clear that there are 3, which we can confirm from two separate observations in last evening and this afternoon.

Other Activity: Female is moving around on nest ,carefully placing sticks near the edge. I see one ball of downy fuzz, moving slightly but from what Elenor has told me, she is seeing two babies. Her view is much better that looking up from the ground. The male is sitting on the marsh perch eating gray sole. He eventually brought the other half up to her and she proceeded eating, looking down and carefully giving it to an unseen little body.

Other Activity: I headed here early because I noticed this female sitting on the platforms perch. Again like yesterday she flew off but before doing so the male came over to the nest, then flew off right before her.
