For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: one adult OSPR1 perched on nest; OSPR2 arrived with food; OSPR1 fed itself and the chicks; OSPR2 flew away quickly & was observed a few mins later feeding itself while perched on a lower rung of the tower.

Other Activity: Female fed the 3 chicks. They separated enough to get a definite count. While the feeding was still going on the male arrived with another fish that he started to feed on.

Observation Method: From vehicle on Raddin St.

General Comments: There was one adult on the nest and after a few minutes another arrived and stayed for only a couple of minutes before he flew off to a tree. There was no sign of chicks or of the adults being interested in anyone in the nest.

Weather Conditions: 70, partly sunny. No wind

Other Activity: One on edge of nest appeared to be feeding itself or tending to chicks. Unfortunately I was not able to see chicks but the behavior of the Osprey on the nest was encouraging. The second osprey was at the usual perch, high in a dead tree nearby
