For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: I think this was one adult and two fledglings but I could be mistaken. They were quite active and vocal. Two took flight and one stayed perched. The two came right back to the nest.

Other Activity: One adult on nearby perch in marsh and there were two birds perched in the nest that I think were one adult and one chick.

Other Activity: 2 OSPR on nest, one flew away and came back later; that was a fledgling; the remaining OSPR flapped its wings often and was able to lift off the nest a few inches; an adult OSPR landed and perched on the nest with the two others.

Other Activity: No osprey on the nest, but while I was watching an osprey flew over the nest and circled lower so I thought it would land, but it did not and flew off up river.

General Comments: There is a little bit of nesting material on the platform, but the nest is not active.
