For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: 2 of the four Osprey have flown away, leaving 2 here. 1 is definitely a fledgling as it displays the typical wing actions of the young along with a consistent call, "Feed me!" The other Osprey catches fish and eats. Not sure if it shares with the "Feed Me" Osprey.

General Comments: Wonder: isn't it late for the birds to be here? I did not report in August, but during the August sunny days, 2 fledglings were learning to fly and fish. they were over my head often while I tended my garden.

General Comments: Two fledglings (I'm assuming they were) were perched on the nest. Then one flew away. At least two are still with us. This morning one flew by the house with a fish.

General Comments: last couple of days i haven't seen the parents. Wondering if they are gone. nest seems empty much of the time, but only a drone would confirm. assuming the chicks are now flying, but not certain.
