For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Weather Conditions: Sunny, 77 degrees. First hot day. WSW wind 12 mph
Other Activity: Male osprey was on pole and female apparently incubating. Not visible or audible. Male took off when lawn crew arrived. Flew around the field and then went to river. Later saw both on nest briefly. He may have brought a fish but I can’t be sure. Lots of activity with several games and loud fans. The birds are well used to the commotion.

Other Activity: We were up so close to the Channel Marker and nest that I could hear one of the birds chirping.
Observation Method: Rowing in 7 seat Pilot Gig from Maritime Gloucester
General Comments: Two osprey on the nest; one on the top edge & another deep inside at the middle of the nest.
