For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Other Activity: Osprey on nest started moving around. It looked like she was feeding (nestlings) or perhaps picking at eggs? Or just restless. This is new to see movement. Sounds like it is too early to have nestlings.

Weather Conditions: 71 degrees, ESE 11 or more, mostly sunny, pretty choppy on the water
Other Activity: I could see the osprey incubating from a distance away. As I got closer, another osprey flew toward the nest. When it tried to land, she flew up briefly and chase it away before returning to incubating position. A 3rd osprey was flying a little higher up above the nest, but didn't interact with either.
Observation Method: By kayak from Island Road
General Comments: Too windy and choppy to go to any other nests except Brophy
