For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Mating, (3 different times),perching on nest, successful retrieval of an odd shaped item, not sure if fish or nest material. Not just a stick. Also-aerial sparring with a gull.

Other Activity: Spotted a bird on the nest when driving by and went back to confirm and it was an osprey. Stayed in the nest for a while preening then flew to a nearby pole for some time and then flew off to the river. Looked like our male!
