For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Day 39. Behavior change! Pauline is frequently standing up and looking underneath herself. Her beak is going up and down into the cup but I see no evidence of fish food. Bob is watching from the marsh post. Hatching is beginning?

Weather Conditions: ~ 62 degrees, partly cloudy but mostly sunny, light wind

Other Activity: Seagull landed on boat nearby. Adult Osprey flew out of nest and chased it away. Circled several times and returned to nest. 2nd adult bird appeared to be in nest. Then one of the birds flew out again and did not return to nest.
