For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Other Activity: Female is sitting deep in the nest, probably on eggs. The male has been perched on a canoe rack on the marsh to keep out of the strong wind in the shelter of phrags. The male also brought some nesting material.

Other Activity: When I arrived, there were 6 turkey vultures circling the sky, flying fairly low. They were not i n the vicinity of the nest. Just before leaving, I spotted 2 osprey flying back and forth in the woods near the nest.
