For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Other Activity: Only Osprey 1 was perched in nest upon initial observation. The coloring makes me think it was an adult but it did look a little on the small size. However I saw no modeling on back features. Adult Osprey 2 arrived within about 10 minutes. I did not observe a third osprey.

Other Activity: One adult perched on a distant tree (flew in during obs) Pretty sure one nestling on the nest; the color seemed lighter than the adult however this nest is quite far away and I only have binoculars.

Other Activity: Observed 4 Ospreys total. One adult was perched on tower about 15 feet below nest; one adult on nest; two apparent fledglings were flying around in area and coming back to nest. The adult perched on tower never moved during my observation. The adult on the nest flew off twice but came back quickly.

Other Activity: Observed 2 adults perched on the tower, one below the nest and one right next to the nest. One bird (probably the fledgling) was in the nest, looking out but no flapping. I did not see the other nestling (I'm not 100% certain there was a 2nd little one, but I thought I saw one a couple of times), so wondering if it did not make it. The fledgling seemed to be nearly as big as the adults, so hopefully it has already flown.
